Graphics card help?
I have a "Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV graphics controller" Graphics card in my Compaq Presario computer. I want to know if i can upgrade my graphics card, and how. Is this graphics card integrated? Because i have read that it is hard to upgrade an integrated graphics card. What type of graphics card could i replace it with, (my graphics card has 64 MB video memory.

- it depends on your motherboard if you have an AGP motherboard the you should get a 7800 gt AGP, because it's one of the last AGP cards ever made and is also the fastest AGP card available if you have a PCI-EXPRESS then that means what card we recommend is based on what you do with your computer. if you do alot of gaming an 8800gt is for you, if you just browse the web then an 8600gt is your card
- PC's that are brand name PC's (Compaq, HP, DELL) are not always easy to upgrade. You might be able to upgrade it with another Video card by disabling the onboard Video card in BIOS settings. Then use a PCI express or AGP slot (if it has one) for the new card. But its doubtful if this is possible.
- Unfortunately I don't think you can. I am not sure though but I know certain brand computers do not allow you to do that.....
