DDS Graphics

How good are PS3 graphics on non-HD TV and what difference between console sizes?

How different would Playstation 3 graphics be on a TV without HD? Also, what is the difference between the 20GB, 40GB, and the other sizes? Are they all backwards compatible?

  1. PS3 looks good on a regular TV, but it looks a lot better on HD TV. HD TV gives you much more details than a regular TV. If you don't have a HD TV, you'll be fine playing the PS3 on a regular TV. The PS3 doesn't even come with HD cables. Only the 40 gb is not backward compatible with PS2 games. The 40 gb cannot and will not play PS2 games, but it will play PSX games. Besides the hard drive size, here are the differences: 20: No Wi-Fi, 4 USB ports, No flash drives, has the emotion engine, so it can play most PS2 games. 40: Has Wi-Fi, only 2 USB ports, no flash drives, no emotion engine, not backward compatible with PS2 games. 60: Has Wi-Fi, 4 USB ports, 3 flash drives, emotion engine. 80: Same as 60 gb except for the emotion engine. It's been taken away, but it will use software emulation to play PS2 games.
