How can I make it so my computer has more dedicated graphics memory?
I own a Dell laptop. It is Vista Home Premium. Right now I only have 128 MB of dedicated graphics memory. I have a total of 623 MB of graphics memory. The rest of the memory is shared system memory. Can I make it so that my computer has more dedicated graphics memory, and what will it do? Please help me to know if this is okay to do. Also tell me what to do in steps, please.

- to do this you need to go into your bios and alter the memory settings in there also if you up your memory for your graphics you will lower your system memory and potentialy slow your system down. you will be better off buying a graphics card
- Download something from the internet
- You cannot install an after factory graphics card to a laptop. You can only add HD or Memory. I am almost positive Vista will control how much video memory is used. If there is a video settings in the control panel, try there.
- This may be difficult :P READ THE WHOLE THING BEFORE PROCEEDING! 1.Restart your computer 2.When it shows the the logo press the key for setup. 3.You should be now at a screen with a time. 4.look around this place using your keyboard, trying to find the dedicated graphics tab. once you find it, change the amount of graphics ram. 5. press enter and exit using the "esc" key 6. select save changes. 7.restart the computer 8. if it works, YAY 9.if it does not change back to the old settings.
