What kind of graphics card is good and inexpensive?
I'm going to buy a graphics card soon, and I want it to be a good one as long as I don't have to pay in excess of $100. Currently, I have 256MB RAM, but I'm considering upgrading to 1GB. Also, the type of graphics card my computer takes is PCI.

- The terms "good" and "inexpensive" are STANDALONE TERMS. You can have EITHER one OR the other, NOT BOTH.
- The 8500gt is both powerful and inexpensive. Its powerful enough to max out most games.
- If your computer does not have an AGP slot or PCI-E slot for graphics, then I would recommend replacing the motherboard/processor before spending any more money on an old computer. Try pricewatch.com for parts costs. Pay close attention to the reviews (of sellers) and stay away from the ones with bad reviews.
