What is the difference between an integrated and a discrete graphics card?
I'm looking at purchasing the ThinkPad R61, and I'm confused about this option. The discrete graphics card adds about $100 to the pricetag. Is it worth it? What differences will I notice?

- Discrete graphics card adds more playable gaming, but also faster for other tasks such as browsing, video editing, picture viewing, video playing, and it also dont use the slow system RAM that is shared with your system. but an 100 dollar discrete card wont be enough to even play the latest games. And for anyother tasks other than games, then yea i doubt the faster of discrete will not be noticeble.
