I just put a graphics card in my computer. How do I get my computer to recognize it?

I'm not sure what kind it is. It's a new card, but I put it in from my old comp. I tried running the HD version of runescape, but it still says I don't have the required graphics card. Does anyone know what's wrong?

1. It helps to know what OS you are using. The card should auto-configure if your are XP and above. Other than that, check to see if there was an installation disk. The software you are using for the game is the ultimate judge. Question did it run on the other machine? If not it wil not on the new one. What the program is saying is you need a better video card.
2. This might sound silly, but did you plug your monitor into the new graphics card? Also, is the new graphics card getting power? Is your power supply powerful enough? You'll also need to install the drivers for the graphics card.
3. Put in the Driver CD that came with the card into your computer to install the card. to find out what video card you have right click on properties then click on the settings tab. once you know what video card you have you can go to their website and download the drivers from there.
