How do I make my graphics card work to its fullest extent?
I have a Dell Dimension 2400 Desktop, and it only has the standard graphics card. I want to play Spore (yeah, that's right), and every time I download it, it tells me i need to upgrade my graphics card; It needs to be able to support pixel shader 2.0. Is there any way I can upgrade, or work on it so I dont have to buy a $150 graphics card?

- Do you have integrated graphics or a dedicated graphics card? Good news, bad news. You are going to have to buy a new card BUT definitely not 150. For 150 you can get an 8800gt! If all you want to do is play spore (and even get dual monitor capability) I suggest either the 8400, 8500 or 8600gt graphics from nvidia. The 8600 is a little pricey but the 8500 is extremely cheap AND no need to upgrade power supply. And I can guarantee that it will work. Go on circuit city or amazon and you can get the 8500gt from nvidia for 44.99. Hoped this helped!
